How's it going? Month 1 of the search

In this video Ryan is one month into his search, and listening to an array of stories from an endless parade of business owners is both incredibly interesting and challenging to make sense of – a recipe for disaster if not properly managed from the get-go. As Ryan spends his time engaged in fruitful conversation in the first month of his search, he’s also trying to figure out how to better process, store, and synthesize all that information.

To do that, Ryan has discovered the power of establishing a good system for himself, so he can manage the influx of information, internalize what he learns, and ultimately optimize his deal sourcing process.

That’s why he now carves time out of each day for reflection, to weed out areas of improvement and to ponder the little ways in which he can refine his process for a more efficient, more productive tomorrow. Becoming more intentional about his time has also made him far more conscious of its value, allocate it more meaningfully, develop healthier time management habits, and have more focused, purposeful conversations.

According to Ryan, a tighter feedback loop and a little more discipline with his time go a long way. With these in place, the journey ahead seems significantly less daunting.
